The Hunt Mountain is a 3,240 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises in the northern part of the Holyoake Range of the Churchill Mountains and is the highest point of these mountains.
The southern group of the 1960 to 1961 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named him after their leader, Peter John Hunt of the Royal Engineers .
