Coordinates: 33 ° 49 ′  S , 151 ° 8 ′  E The Municipality of Hunter's Hill (or Hunters Hill) is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of New South Wales . Hunter's Hill is part of the metropolis of Sydney , the capital of New South Wales. The area is 5.7 km² and has about 14,000 inhabitants.

Hunter's Hill is on the north side of Sydney Harbor , about 7 km northwest of the city center. The area includes 10 boroughs: Figtree, Henley, Hunter's Hill, Huntley's Cove, Huntley's Point, Pulpit Point, Tarban, Tarban Point, Woolwich, and part of Gladesville. The Shire Council is located in the Hunter's Hill district in the center of the LGA.

The Council of the Municipality of Hunter's Hill has seven members who are elected by the residents of the LGA. Three members each come from the two wards North and South, the chairman and mayor is also elected by all residents of the LGA. The two districts are determined independently of the districts.
