L. Hunter Lovins b. Sheldon (* 1950 in Ripton Vermont ) is an American lawyer, sociologist and political scientist and - together with her then husband Amory Lovins - recipient of the Right Livelihood Award .

Hunter Lovins trained in law at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles .

Amory and Hunter Lovins are founding members and on the board of directors of the Rocky Mountain Institute , which has existed in Old Snowmass , Colorado since 1982 and develops and implements concepts for resource-efficient economic and production methods. You advise international corporations, but also governments and international organizations. Hunter also founded the organization Natural Capitalism Solutions and is committed to the UN .
