The Hutchins nunatakkers are a group of nunatakkers on the Orville coast of west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Hauberg Mountains they tower up to 1200 m high 20 km north-northeast of Mount Leek .
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. A team of geologists led by Peter Dewitt Rowley (* 1942) from the USGS visited it in December 1977. Rowley named her after Lieutenant Commander John Roy Hutchins, Navy pilot of an LC-130 Hercules in support of the crew.
