Hutian kiln

The Hutian Kiln ( 湖田窑 , Hutian Yao , English Hutian kiln ) was a pottery kiln in the village Hutian the greater community Jingcheng of the district Changjiang of Jingdezhen in the Chinese province of Jiangxi . It is one of the most famous kilns in the Chinese " porcelain capital" ( 瓷器 都 , ciqi du ).

He has been producing since the time of the Five Dynasties (907–960), through the time of the Song Dynasty (960–1279) and Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368), and ceased production in the middle of the Ming Dynasty .

The site of the old Hutian Kiln ( 湖田 古瓷 窑址 , Hútián gǔ cíyáo zhǐ , English Hutian ancient kiln site ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (2-53) since 1982 .

The production facility is famous for its bluish-white glazed porcelain, egg-white glazed porcelain and its blue and white porcelain (Yuan period).

Chen Wanli of the Beijing Palace Museum investigated the site in the 1950s, followed by a further investigation in the 1970s by the Jingdezhen Museum of Ceramic History , which was followed by further investigations involving the Institute of Cultural Objects and Archeology of Jiangxi Province .
