Lietava Hydrographic Reserve

The Lietava Hydrographic Protected Area ( Lithuanian Lietavos hidrografinis draustinis ) is a state protected area of hydrography in the Jonava district in Lithuania . Part of the Lietava (in the Upninkai Forest ) and the water balance, which is of hydrological importance due to the fluctuations, are protected . The area was established in 1992 and is 143 hectares in size. The upper part of the Lietava valley is canalised. The river is winding. The species that live here include the trout , otter , American mink and, in winter, the dipper .
