Marius Winzeler

Marius Winzeler (* 1970 in Männedorf ) is a Swiss art historian .

Life

He completed his studies in art history, medieval archeology and German literature at the University of Zurich . He then worked in an office for building research and inventory in Winterthur and for a restorer. In 1990 and 1992 he did internships in monument conservation in Dresden . In 1994 he worked on an exhibition at Gnandstein Castle . From 1996 to 1998 he worked at the First Saxon State Exhibition in St. Marienstern Monastery and in 1999 realized the treasury there. From 2001 he then worked at the Kulturhistorisches Museum Görlitz , where he was responsible for art. From 2008 to 2015 he was director of the municipal museums in Zittau . In 2009 he received his doctorate from the TU Berlin . In December 2015, Winzeler took over the management of the art collection at the National Gallery in Prague . Winzeler lives in Görlitz (2013).
