Ju Sobing

Ju Sobing (* 1944 in Brückenberg , Silesia ) is a German writer, poet and artist.

life and career

Sobing spent her school days in Hameln . Sobing studied fine arts in Hanover , Munich and Stockholm and spent additional study visits to Brandenburg, Italy and South America . She was a guest student with Reinemer in Dresden and a master class with Rolf Thiele in Bremen. In addition, she completed a course "Art + Nature - Landart" with Werner Henkel in Bremen.

Sobing has been working as a freelance artist and writer since 1989. Her works are mainly exhibited in Germany. Her work focuses on collages, graphics, installations and land art, but also beliefs, interactions between characters, people and society, and investigations into the color red. Sobing publishes her poetry in monographs as well as in anthologies and magazines.

Sobing is a member of the BBK / Saxon Artists Association and the Independent Writer ASSOziation Dresden. From 1997 to 2008 he was the project manager of the annual Lietzen Art Week. She is also a founding member of the WO 02 group.

Sobing is married and has two children; she lives in Radebeul and Sorbolongo / Italy.
