The Hydrurga Cove is a bay on the southwest coast of Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It opens onto the 310-meter-wide Fyr Channel , on the opposite side of which is Moe Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1991 after the leopard seals ( Latin Hydrurga leptonyx ), a seal species that is common in this bay.
