The Anthem of the Republic of Buryatia is a song in the Buryat and Russian languages that became the Anthem of the Republic of Buryatia on April 21, 1995 . It is based on the "Song about the Homeland" ("Pjesnja o rodnoi semle") by Damba Schalsarajew ( Дамба Жалсараев ), the music was composed by Anatoly Andreyev. The original text is in Buryat, the translation is by O. Dmitrijew. Essentially, the text sings about the natural beauties of Buryatia, which is characterized by the taiga , Lake Baikal and the transition to the steppe of Central Asia.
Land of taiga, lakes and meadows,
you are full of good sun.
Successful from one end to the other,
be happy, our home.
A hint of the lingonberry, a hint of the bird cherry, the
scent of purple rosemary.
I don't breathe, but drink the scent,
my country's plains and forests.
My country, accept the gratitude of your sons,
receive the holy waters of Lake Baikal.
So I find unprecedented power,
a long and hard road.
We are united with you, our country,
your fate is mine too.
I bow to you from the bottom of
my heart, dear country, my beloved Buryatia!
