Hype: The Time Quest is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft that takes place in a medieval setting. The characters in the game are designed like Playmobil characters .

history

The story of the game, which is shaped by Playmobil influences, is for the most part very varied.

Hype, a young knight from King Taskan IV, is awarded the sword of peace at a ceremony to mark the end of the civil war in the city of Torras. Suddenly a black knight appears and demands the throne. Hype defends his king, but he doesn't make it and is transformed into a statue by the black knight and sent far into the past, where he then reappears with a young alchemist named Gustus. This manages to free the hype from the statue. Hype must travel further in time to return to its era at the end and to defeat the black knight. For each of the 3 other epochs he needs a jewel that gives him more strength at the same time.

construction

The plot spans four different eras.

Hype possesses the following weapons: a magical sword, a shield and a crossbow with which he can fire various types of bolts. In addition, Hype can find all variants of fire, ice and lightning spells as the game progresses.

Life energy and the mana required for casting spells can refresh hype with potions and herbs.

His armor can renew hype at the blacksmith's and in the "repair fields" provided for this purpose. As the game progresses, Hype finds new armor that makes him stronger. In order to travel in time, hype has to find a jewel for each subsequent era. As soon as he has all four jewels, his sword begins to glow.
