Hyperdub is a British record label specializing in electronic music .
history
Hyperdub was founded in 2004 by Steve Goodman alias Kode9 in London. The first release was the single Sign Of The Dub / Stalker by Kode9 and Daddi Gee . In 2005, the musician Burial's first publication appeared with South London Boroughs . After initial successes in the scene, Burial's debut album, which was widely recognized internationally, was released in 2006.
The number of releases remained manageable until 2007, but in the following years numerous new artists such as Ikonika, Darkstar, King Midas Sound, Ill Blu and Terror Danjah came to the label. In 2009 the compilation 5: Five Years of Hyperdub was released on the occasion of its fifth anniversary .
