Hypopyon

Hypopyon is the medical term for a collection of pus in the anterior chamber of the eye . Upon inspection of the eye, this appears as a whitish-yellow mirror.

The medieval surgeon Guy de Chauliac already described the hypopyon and its medicinal and, referring to Jesus and Alkoatim (Suleimān ibn Ḥāriṯ al-Kuwaitī), also operative therapy in detail in his Chirurgia magna .
