I'm a Cult Hero is a single released under the name Cult Hero by an expanded cast of The Cure .

history

The single was recorded by Robert Smith (singer and guitarist of The Cure) and Simon Gallup (then bassist of The Magspies ) as a kind of test of whether they were musically compatible with each other. Smith considered Gallup to replace Michael Dempsey (then bassist for The Cure) because he and Smith had both personal and personal differences regarding the band.

The pieces were written and sung by Horley , Frank Bell, the local postman . He is also shown on the cover of the single. The ex-The-Cure guitarist Porl Thompson , the keyboardist of The Magspies, Matthieu Hartley , as well as other friends, family members of the two initiators and members of the local band The Obtainers also took part.
