Ferenc van der Sluijs (2011)

IF (abbreviation for Interference, interference or disturbance ) is the best known project of the Dutch musician and DJ Ferenc van der Sluijs from The Hague . He also published under pseudonyms such as Beverly Hills 808303 , HOTT and Interr-Ference .

Career

Together with Menno van Os, Guy Tavares and Jan Duivenvoorden, van der Sluijs released hard acid techno under the name Unit Moebius . It appeared more than 20 albums on labels such as Bunker Records, Acid Planet and Disko B .

The single Space Invaders Are Smoking Grass (1997) experienced numerous remixes and is often considered the spark for the electroclash music genre . In April 2001, four years after its release, the electro track rose to number 97 in the German singles charts for a week.

The first solo album as IF with the title Fucking Consumer was released in 1998 on Disko B. The Lost Tracks For Lost Minds , published in 18 pieces on Atlantik Wall Records from 2006 onwards , were combined as 6-fold vinyl in 2007.
