From Africa, Zimbabwe initially qualified, but after their association was suspended due to political influence on the same, they were disqualified from the tournament on August 6, 2019.
Competition mode
Four teams are drawn into each of the two preliminary round groups, each of which played a game against each other. There were two points for the winning team, none for the losing team. If no winner could be determined (for example due to the rain breaking off), both teams received one point each. If after the innings both teams have scored the same number of runs, a super over follows . After the preliminary round, the two best teams in both groups qualified for the semi-finals, with the net run rate being decisive in the event of a tie . The two winners of the semifinals then played the final. Both finalists qualify for the main tournament.
