iDVD is a computer program for easily creating DVDs and was part of Apple's iLife package . IDVD can be used to create films or photo slide shows. Numerous themes (ready-made designs) are included, which the user can only change slightly.
The program was available for Mac OS X and was included in the iLife package (up to iLife 2011). The iLife package also included iMovie , iPhoto , iWeb and GarageBand .
Burners from other manufacturers are only supported from version 6.xx onwards. All previous versions require an original Apple SuperDrive (or a compatible device).
The program can no longer be found in the Mac App Store and has been discontinued.
