The IHD game operation refers to the inline hockey game classes under the direction of the Inline Hockey Germany Sports Commission (IHD) of the German Roller Sports and Inline Association (DRIV).

For a long time there was an IHD-Bundesliga as the top division, today the game is organized by the regional associations, each of which operates a major league and a regional league.

history

In 1998 the inline hockey league was held at the federal level for the first time, at a tournament of all national champions and runners-up on October 24-25. the same year in Karlsruhe the German champion was determined. Neu-Isenburg won the final against Hanau 2-0.

Up to and including the 2006 season, the league was called IHL-Bundesliga ; the name change took place for the 2007 season, when the IHD was established as an independent commission in the DRIV, then the name was IHD-Bundesliga .

The German champions were determined in the 2008 and 2009 seasons in the German Inline Hockey League (DIHL). DIHL was founded in 1996 by the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) and operated until 2007. The IHD and the DEB have agreed to jointly organize the DIHL in 2008 and 2009. The IHD organizes the group matches in the Northern Division, the DEB the organization of the group matches in the Southern Division. The IHD-Bundesliga was held parallel to the DIHL, as only clubs from the leagues of a national association of the Federation Internationale de Roller Skating (today Worls Skate) can qualify for the European Cup. The winner of the IHD Bundesliga was not allowed to call himself German champion.

The German championship 2017 was held in Baunatal, the 2018 in Mannheim.

2012 season

In the 2012 season, therefore, only five teams took part in the game. There was also a so-called IHD selection . The teams played a single round. The play-offs follow after the main round.

The other participants were Torpedo Steinberg, Friedberg Twister, Pinguine Baunatal, ERC Ludwigshafen Scorpions and SCM Kojoten Erfurt; all clubs then switched to the IHL; today IHD.)
