The II. Northern League is the 2nd regional football league in the Austrian state of Burgenland . It is the fifth highest league in the football league system in Austria and was first played in the 1961/62 season.

The league currently consists of fourteen teams, with each club playing one home and one away game against each other. A season therefore comprises a total of 26 game days.

The first in the table after the end of the season is entitled to promotion to the fourth-class regional league Burgenland . The number of relegated members depends on the relegated members from the Burgenland regional league, as these are geographically assigned to the three second leagues (north, middle and south ).

New to the league are SC Kittsee (1st class North (Burgenland) champions 2017/18), UFC Pamhagen (1st class North (Burgenland) 2017/18 vice champions) and ASKÖ Klingenbach (relegated from the Landesliga Burgenland 2017/18).
