IK Hakarpspojkarna
The Idrottsklubben Hakarpspojkarna (abbreviated IKHP) is a sports club from the Swedish Huskvarna , a district of Jönköping . The name of the club is derived from the Hakarps socks . The association has departments for athletics , orienteering , cycling , Nordic skiing and triathlon . The orienteers in particular are known for four successes at the Tiomila .
The association was founded on February 1, 1929. The sports program initially included hiking, cross-country skiing and cycling. In 1936 the club house was built in Norra Klevaliden on the edge of the Huskvarnabergen nature reserve .
The orienteers won the Tiomila three times in six years in 1969, 1970 and 1974 . Another successful phase was the 1990s with the success at Virolahti - Jukola 1992, two wins at 25-manna and another Tiomila win in 1995. Well-known orienteers of the club are Johan Ivarsson and the 2003 relay world champion, Mattias Karlsson .
