The Voltzberg is a 240 meter high, partly bare granite island mountain in Suriname , in the Sipaliwini district .

It is part of the Central Suriname Nature Reserve with a special flora and fauna, such as B. epiphytes , cactus plants, Echinopsis oxygona and rock cocks .

The granite mountain is named after the German geologist Dr. Named Friedrich Voltz. From 1853 to 1855 he made several scientific expeditions to Suriname. Voltz died in Paramaribo in August 1855 .
