from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The iNADO ( acronym of Institute of National Anti-Doping Organizations ;. Dt Institute of National Anti- Doping organizations) helps the national anti-doping organizations (NADOs), in particular in developing countries to improve their programs and to adopt best practice . The iNADO is based in Bonn . 69 NADOs are currently members of iNADO.

concept

iNADO has a growing collection of model documents and practices and promotes and monitors their use. iNADO develops a quality system for its members to support them in program improvement and to demonstrate their reliability to other anti-doping organizations and potential partners. In addition, iNADO offers professional support in various areas of anti-doping in order to support the specialists of its members.

But the role of iNADO is not limited to the development of anti-doping capacities. It acts as a lobby group. On behalf of its member organizations, it ensures the mutual exchange of information between national and international sports and government authorities such as the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the government-to-government International Anti-Doping Arrangement (IADA), UNESCO and the Council of Europe .

Membership is initially limited to NADOs. In cooperation with WADA, the institute also supports regional anti-doping organizations (RADOs). In the future, the iNADO may open its membership to anti-doping employees who are employed by their member NADOs or who do voluntary work.

history

In March 2011 a small group of national anti-doping organizations saw the need to establish a body representing all NADOs. A project has been started to test the feasibility of such an organization. A project committee comprising the NADOs from five countries (Australia, Norway, Great Britain, USA and Canada) made a proposal and financed the project.

The project committee recommended to the NADO community that the iNADO should be created. This was unanimously approved at a meeting of the NADOs on November 13, 2011 in Paris. The iNADO was founded in February 2012.

At a meeting on March 19, 2012 in Lausanne, the NADOs discussed the goals of the iNADO for the next few years and how the iNADO could improve communication. On the basis of this agreement and with the support of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), including a multi-year financial grant, the project committee has put the iNADO into operation. In May 2012 the founding chairman of iNADO took up his duties.

INADO is a non-profit, limited liability membership organization established under the laws of Great Britain. This means that in the event of the iNADO being wound up, each NADO member will only be liable for £ 1.00. INADO's constitution is its Articles of Association, which is registered in the UK Companies House.

financing

The iNADO is mainly financed by the fees of its members. This is currently supplemented by the annual grant from WADA. In addition, iNADO has sponsorship income and income from the sale of its services (e.g. fees for the participation of non-members in its events).

The iNADO works according to an annual budget approved by the Board of Directors. INADO's accounts are audited every year by an external auditing company based in the UK.
