ING Cup 2003/04

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ING Cup 2003/04 was the 35th staging of the National List A cricket - Championship in Australia . The competition was held between October 24, 2003 and February 29, 2004 between six Australian first-class representations of the states. In the final, Western Australia prevailed against Queensland with 4 wickets .

format

The six teams played eight games in a group against the other teams. There were four points for a win, two for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. A bonus point was awarded if, in one sense, one's own run number exceeded that of the opponent by 1.25 times, and another point if it was even more than twice the opponent's. Furthermore, it was possible that teams were deducted points if, for example, they played too slowly. The group first and second qualified for the final.
