INOTIF

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In INOTIF ( in ternet o rien t iertes I n f ormationssystem) is an information system of the Austrian Red Cross .

The messages can be sent by registered users ( service managers , executives ...) via the Internet free of charge to individuals or to entire groups via SMS .

The system is not redundantly secured. Failures or delays depending on mobile radio transmitter locations or availability are possible. Therefore it is not intended as an initial alarm system. Problems with the delivery of individual participants are possible. The system is mostly used to send messages relating to service operations.

Main application is the information of the employees about news, the memory of training or meetings , as well as the short-term recruitment. In the event of a disaster or major damage, it is also possible to alert employees.

The associated server is located in the Vienna Arsenal . A second independent server is also available.
