Host of the IPC European Championships until 2020

The IPC European Championships in athletics (English: IPC Athletics European Championships) are organized under the umbrella of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) .

The first European Championships took place in Assen , the Netherlands , in 2003 and were still referred to as EPC European Championships Athletics . The open competitions were planned as a two-year event, named IPC Athletics Open European Championships in 2005 , but put on hold and resumed in 2012. In 2016 the name was changed to Para European Athletics Championships .
