IQ-Discount is an association of independent petrol station entrepreneurs, founded in 1996 , who collect their products from the mineral oil wholesaler Julius Stiglechner GmbH & Co KG. The system is structured like a franchise , but most likely with a purchasing company such as B. Compare SPAR .
A common brand name and centralized advertising does some of the work for the petrol station operators themselves, and at the same time, mineral oil can be bought cheaply independently of oil multinationals.
The Linz- based company started operations in June 1996 with twelve petrol stations in Upper and Lower Austria . In 2009 the company supplied 68 petrol stations across Austria (with the exception of Tyrol and Vorarlberg ).
