ISO 5807

ISO 5807 information processing; Documentation symbols and conversions for data, for program and system processes, for plans of program networks and system resources is an international standard of the International Organization for Standardization . The Technical Committee ISO / TC97 published the first English-language version Information processing; Documentation symbols and conventions for data, program and system flowcharts, program network charts and system resources charts on February 12, 1985.

ISO 5807 defines symbols and gives application notes for

  • Data flowcharts ( data flow charts )
  • Program flowcharts ( program flowcharts )
  • System flowcharts
  • Program network charts
  • System resource charts

These representations had a significant influence on later standards and forms of representation, but are rarely used in their original form today.
