iSync is a personal information manager that was part of the macOS operating system (up to version 10.6) from Apple . Its task is to keep addresses, appointments and similar data that were created with the Address Book and iCal programs synchronized between (several) different digital devices. It works with various cell phones as well as with Palm OS -based PDAs .

Officially, only Palm Inc. Devices from the Tungsten or Zire series are supported. In practice, however, most PDAs could be used with Palm OS version 4.0 or higher, sometimes with plug-ins that can be purchased separately.

In previous versions, iSync was also responsible for updating address book and calendar information on the iPod . However, since this data cannot be changed on the iPod and it is therefore not a question of synchronization, but only of copying, this function has been relocated to the iTunes program from iSync 2.3 and iTunes 6 . This allowed the data on the iPod to be updated separately without updating all other devices at the same time.

Using the paid MobileMe service, different Macs (and Windows systems with corresponding client software) could also be compared over the Internet. Here were some additional data, such as Apple's Safari - Bookmark and Apple Mail messages are transmitted. MobileMe replaced .Mac on July 10, 2008 .

With the release of Mac OS 10.7, the delivery of the program was stopped.
