Only the first part was published commercially under the original title. In Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium, the synth pop / funk song became a number one hit.
After using in the movie Beverly Hills Cop II "I Want Your Sex" in 1988 got the Golden Raspberry as Schlechinger testers song .
