Abdalqadir as-Sufi
Sheikh Abdalqadir as-Sufi (born in 1930 in Ayr , Scotland as Ian Dallas ) is a British author and a figure of Islam. He is the founder of from Darqawa - Sufi orders emerged Murabitun movement.
Life
He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art . He received his introduction to Islam through Sufism in Morocco . In 1967 he converted to Islam. The imam of the Qarawiyin Mosque in Fez , Morocco, witnessed his conversion. He studied with Sheikh Muhammad ibn al-Habib ( Meknes ) and the Alawiyya Sheikh Muhammad al-Fayturi ( Benghazi ).
The Weimar Institute for Spiritual and Contemporary History Issues e. V. published Islamic newspaper (see also Andreas Abu Bakr Rieger ) is assigned to his Murabitun movement.
Abdalqadir as-Sufi founded various mosques in England , Spain and South Africa .
