Ian Read
Ian Read (* 1953 in Forfar , Scotland ) is a British manager .
Life
Read was born in Scotland but grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe ). Read studied chemistry at Imperial College London in London . After completing his studies, he started working for the US company Pfizer in 1978. He worked for Pfizer in Latin America for many years . As the successor to Jeffrey Kindler, Read became President and CEO of the US company Pfizer in 2010, and in 2019 he moved to the Supervisory Board as Chairman.
