Ian Thompson (high jumper)
Ian Thompson ( Ian Ronald Thompson, born December 8, 1968 , † March 15, 1999 ) was a Bahamian high jumper .
At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, he was eliminated from qualification.
In 1994 he was ninth at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria and in 1995 at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg eleventh.
At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 1997 in Paris, he did not get past the first round.
He set his personal best of 2.29 m on July 25, 1995 in Kotka .
