Ibn-Rushd is an impact crater on the moon northwest of the Cyrillus crater . It is located southeast of the Kant crater . In the north rises the cape of Mons Penck .
Ibn-Rushd shows some signs of wear and tear due to age. The southern rim of the crater is covered by a pair of small craters called "Cyrillus A" and "Cyrillus C". The crater floor is relatively flat and there is no central mountain.
Before the crater was given its own designation by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1976 , it was known as "Cyrillus B".
