Ibrahim Kepenek

Ibrahim Kepenek (* 1969 in Sivas , Turkey ) has been a graphic artist for Stern magazine and a book author for many years .

The German-Turk, who came to Germany at the age of three, grew up in Cologne-Mülheim . After graduating from high school, he worked as a freelance journalist for Deutschlandfunk in addition to studying history and German and was employed as an editor at Viva 2 for two years . He then completed an apprenticeship as an information graphic artist at Haus Busch in Hagen .

Kepenek lives in Hamburg . About his experiences as a "German national" in the Turkish military service, he wrote the critical-satirical book Rühr dich, Kanake! (2007).
