Ibrahim Yetim (born March 14, 1965 in Dinslaken ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Yetim, the son of Turkish-Kurdish immigrants, is a trained mountain mechanic and worked underground on the Walsum mine for several years. During this time he completed the evening high school. After successfully studying communication science, psychology and sociology at the University of Essen, he first worked in management consulting and industrial research in the areas of personnel and organization, private pubilc partnership and teleworking. He then worked for a few years in PR and marketing in the software industry. In 1999 Yetim became a research assistant for a member of the Bundestag and mayor. From 2000 to 2010 he was managing director for the SPD.

In 1991 Yetim joined the SPD. After initially taking on several voluntary tasks (including chairman of the local association, Juso sub-district chairman, member of the executive sub-district board), he was a city councilor in Duisburg from 2002 to 2004. In November 2005 he moved to Moers and in 2009 he was elected to the Moers City Council. In the state elections in 2010 , 2012 and 2017 he was elected as a direct candidate for the SPD in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . His constituency includes the city of Moers and the Neukirchen district of the Neukirchen-Vluyn community .

Yetim is married and has one daughter. He lives in Moers-Kapellen .
