Ibri ( Arabic عبري, DMG ʿIbrī ) is an administrative district and its largest city in the Az-Zahirah governorate in Oman . It is also its capital. In 2003 there were 97,429 residents in Ibri. Ibri is located in the western part of the Hajjar Mountains , about 200 kilometers from the border town of Al-Ain ( United Arab Emirates ) in the west and 217 km from the capital Muscat in the east. In the city there is the Ibri College of Technology and a technical college. In the vicinity of Ibris there are archaeological excavations of the ancient city of Bat
