I don't sing for you anymore is a song by the Berlin rapper Fler , which he recorded together with the singer Doreen . The song is the second single from his fourth solo album Fler and was released on April 10, 2009.

The song is about a love affair that has broken apart, with Fler rapping from the man's point of view and Doreen singing from the woman's perspective - each in first- person form . In the first verse, Doreen sings that she was abandoned and that her boyfriend and another woman disappeared in the wind without looking back. This ends in the chorus, where she says she'll never sing a song for him again. She wanted to forget the man, but the songs reminded him of him. However, it was final and even if he came back she would reject him. In the second stanza, Fler starts: He raps from the man's point of view that he is writing her a letter and that she hopes she will read it despite her disappointment. He looks back on the mutual relationship in which they were a good team and often forgave him. He also apologizes that she is now alone and crying because of him. He himself is torn and emphasizes that she will always remain a part of him. In the third verse, the man continues to turn to his ex-girlfriend. He's writing to her even though he knows she hates him. He emphasizes the happy side of the relationship and says that he sometimes despises himself for his actions and that he was "blind".

Music video
At the beginning of the music video , Doreen sings in a close-up, whereby Fler is partially faded in, who is first sitting in a dark room and then in a car. Then Fler raps in the dark room, while Doreen is shown in some sequences. He lights a fire with a match and throws in a mirror. Later, Fler runs across the wet asphalt and raps in the dark between the flames. At the end he stands in front of a house facade with the words Forever on it.

Chart successes
I don't sing for you anymore entered the German charts at number 33 on April 24, 2009 and stayed in the top 100 for a total of nine weeks. In Austria and Switzerland, however, the song missed the charts.
