Ichijō Norifusa
Ichijō Norifusa ( 一条 教 房 ; * 1423; † November 6, 1480 ) ( Japanese calendar : 文明 12/10/5) was a scion of a noble family, descended from Fujiwara Michiie , who was considered worthy enough as one of the go-sekke was to provide rulers for Japanese rulers.
He was the eldest child of Ichijō Kaneyoshi . At 14 he was declared of legal age. In 1457 he became "Chancellor on the right," the following year he was appointed Regent for Go-Hanazono (until 1463). As a pseudonym he used Myōkeiji-dono, posthumously he was called Sōkei ( 宗 恵 ).
He and his father fled to Nara in 1467 when the Ōnin War broke out , and from there in 1468 to a family estate in the province of Tosa . The local samurai elected him master ( Tosa no kokushi ) in 1470 , as the authority of the previously ruling Hososkawa had collapsed. The choice was confirmed by the Shogun. Norifusa later returned to Kyoto, his son Fusaie ( 一條 房 家 ), who was born there, stayed in the province and founded the Tosa-Ichijō line of the family.
