The ideal association for sports communication and education e. V. (short: ISB) is a non-profit, registered association in Schweinfurt , which was founded in 2007 and is a member of the Bavarian State Sports Association (short: BLSV).

The ISB's unique selling point is its structure , which is unusual for a sports club . The club does not maintain any sports departments, but works thematically in special-purpose companies . In addition, members are primarily seen as co-creators. They should actively promote club politics, support the guiding principles and not primarily consume sport. The sports and exercise offers of the ISB, with which more than 350 young people are provided with sports and exercise every week, are aimed at all interested parties, whereby no distinction is made between members and non-members. It is often possible that young people are introduced to the sport through the offers and then join a conventional sports club in the region.

Due to many years of experience in consulting and in the practice of all-day schooling , the ISB was commissioned by the Bavarian Sports Youth (BSJ) in the BLSV in 2016 to structurally empower other Bavarian sports clubs, also in school-based ones, within the framework of the "BSJ Agency Sport in All-Day" To be active all day as a full cooperation partner of schools or as a provider of care offers. In order to make this model of moving all-day school affordable, the association has developed various approaches, the first of which is published as the “Schweinfurt model of moving all-day school”. This describes how educational and care services at all-day schools can be provided by sports clubs with the help of voluntary services. This model has been certified with the QUIFD seal for quality in voluntary services since 2014. In addition to this peculiarity of the approach as initially sport-economic modeling, PHINEO gAG points out in a themed report that this way, a high degree of social impact is achieved. In the future, the ISB will open up further business areas for organized sport.

The ISB achieved particular supra-regional importance through its commitment to integration. The two association programs “Center for Diagnostics and Prevention” (ZDP) and “United in Motion” (ViB) were selected by the German Sport University Cologne for one of three planned German contributions and in the Europe-wide study by the University of Southern Denmark "Promotion Social Integration and Volunteering in Sports Clubs" published where they are described as a "Good Practice" example . The report also emphasizes, among other things, that the association not only applies its knowledge, but also passes it on by advising other associations.
