Ignacy Gogolewski (born June 17, 1931 in Ciechanów , Poland ) is a Polish theater and film actor .

Live and act

He attended the PWST State Drama School in Warsaw until 1953 and then had engagements at a number of Warsaw theaters (Polish, Dramatic, National and Contemporary Theater). In 1971 he followed a call to the Silesian Theater (Teatr Śląski im. Stanisława Wyspiańskiego) in Katowice . At the same time he also worked on numerous films. In 1969 he was awarded the Golden Canvas for his achievements there. He received the State Prize Orden Polonia Restituta for the first time in 1964. Higher levels of this order followed until 1999. Furthermore, he was honored for his diverse areas of activity with several medals, such as the Gloria Artis Medal for cultural merit .

From 1980 to 1985 he was director and artistic director of the Osterwa Theater in Lublin , and from 1985 to 1989, performing the same functions at the Rozmaitości Theater in Warsaw. In 1983 he became a member of the National Council of Patriotyczny Ruch Odrodzenia Narodowego (Patriotic Front of National Revival). In 1986 he was a member of the National Culture Council. In 2005 and 2006 he was President of the Association of Polish Performers (ZASP).
