Ignatz Eduard Ellissen

Ignatz Eduard Ellissen (born June 11, 1811 in Frankfurt am Main ; † August 23, 1883 ibid) was a German lawyer and politician .

Ellissen, who was of Jewish faith, studied law and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. On January 23, 1835, he was admitted to the bar in the Free City of Frankfurt . There he was also politically active and in 1858 was a member of the legislative body of the Free City of Frankfurt.
