Igor Alexandrovich Grushko

Igor Alexandrowitsch Gruschko ( Russian Игорь Александрович Грушко ; born August 9, 1912 in Rostov ; † 1941 ) was a Russian mathematician who dealt with group theory .

Gruschko studied mathematics from 1931 at the State University of Leningrad with the degree in 1936. He received his doctorate in 1940 with Vladimir Abramowitsch Tartakowski (1901-1972) (candidate degree). His dissertation contained Grushko's theorem , which he published in 1940. He then taught at Perm State University (then Molotov University). He was called up in 1941 and fell soon after. The exact date of death is not known.
