Igor Mogne

Igor de Araújo Mogne (born August 1, 1996 in Mozambique ) is a Mozambican swimmer.

Mogne started swimming at the age of six and has been participating in swimming competitions since he was eight. First he swam from 2004 to 2008 for the Desportivo de Maputo swimming club , and since 2008 he has been a member of the Golfinhos de Maputo club . Mogne now also swims for the Portuguese club Sporting Clube de Portugal .

Mogne has already been represented in numerous international competitions, including a. at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland. In 2016 Mogne represented Mozambique as the only male swimmer at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . In the discipline 100 m freestyle Mogne reached 45th place with a time of 50.65 s and was eliminated in the first round.
