The Igreja Ave Maria de Suai ( German  Ave Maria Church of Suai ) is the Roman Catholic parish church of the East Timorese Suai ( Cova Lima municipality ). It belongs to the diocese of Maliana .

The approximately 21 m high tower above the portal and the associated church tower clock, which is rare for East Timor, are striking. The church was already under construction when the Suai church massacre broke out in the Nossa Senhora do Rosario , the old Suais church on September 6, 1999 . As a result of the upheavals following the crisis in East Timor in 1999 , the withdrawal of the Indonesian occupiers and the UN administration , the building of the church was suspended. Later, parts of the shell, which originally had three prominent spikes as a front, were torn down again. In 2011 there were only 25% of the church. Above all, there was a lack of building materials. During this time the service took place in a makeshift setting. The new church was not completed until 2012 and consecrated on August 15th.

Behind the church is a typical East Timor Marian grotto (Gruta) .
