Ihor Petrenko
Ihor Petrenko ( Ukrainian Ігор Петренко ; born May 10, 1938 in Kiev ) is a former Ukrainian pole vaulter who started for the Soviet Union .
In 1959 he won silver at the World Festival of Youth and Students , and in 1960 he was sixth at the Olympic Games in Rome . A bronze medal at the Universiade in 1961 was followed by a tenth place at the European Athletics Championships in 1962 in Belgrade.
In 1959, 1961 and 1962 he became Soviet champion. He set his personal best of 4.74 m on May 30, 1964 in Minsk .
