Ihor Pinchuk

Ihor Boryssowytsch Pinchuk ( Ukrainian Ігор Борисович Пінчук , also Igor Pinchuk ; born October 11, 1967 in Kiev ) is a former Ukrainian basketball player .

career

Pinchuk played in the Ukraine for BK Budivelnik Kiev and CSKA Kiev and in Slovakia for BK Chemosvit Svit. The 2.07 meter indoor player switched to the Schwelmer Baskets in 2000 . In 2004 he was promoted to the basketball league with the team . He was then used in Schwelm during the 2004/05 Bundesliga season in 18 games.

Pinschuk stayed in Germany after the end of his playing career and got involved in the youth work of the gymnastics community “Zur Roten Erde” from 1848 Schwelm. His son Volodymyr Pinchuk also became a competitive basketball player .

National team

With the Soviet selection he took part in the European Junior Championships in 1986 and the World Junior Championships in 1987. At the Junior European Championship in 1986 he won silver with the team, in the final against Yugoslavia for Vlade Divac and Toni Kukoč , Pinchuk scored seven points. In 1990 he was part of the Soviet Union's squad for the World Cup, was runner-up, but was rarely used in the course of the World Cup.
