The leaflet Your travel plan (abbreviation: IRP ) is a printed publication published by Deutsche Bahn AG with a monthly circulation of 5.2 million. It is available on most long-distance trains ( Intercity-Express (ICE), Intercity (IC) and Eurocity (EC)) and is created individually for each train route .

history

The timetable on display was first created and designed for F trains and FT trains from the 1930s onwards . From 1950/51, the Deutsche Bundesbahn again published timetable folders and displayed them in the highest quality trains (FD, F, FT and D (partially)). From the summer of 1954 the leaflet was initially called D-Zugbegleiter , before the formative name " Ihr Zugbegleiter" (IZB) was introduced in August 1957 . The display in the high-quality train types such as B. TEE, IC, EC, D, DC, F and IR, was almost a matter of course. When Deutsche Bahn AG was founded in 1994, the name changed to " Your timetable" (IFP) . In 1998 the name " Your Travel Plan" (IRP) was introduced. The Deutsche Reichsbahn also used such information sheets on its national trains between 1956 and 1962, with a few exceptions also on transit trains .

content

The leaflet Your travel plan informs the travelers - mostly updated monthly - about

  • the train route,
  • the connecting trains at the subway stations and
  • the services on the train or at the station .

Most of the information is bilingual . If the train runs in Germany or to German-speaking countries, German and English are used. If the train goes to non-German-speaking countries, German and the respective foreign language are used.

Others

Most of the time, railroad fans and trainspotters have discovered the travel plan as a collector's item and are trying to collect as many of the issues as possible distributed during a timetable period .

The ÖBB , SBB, SNCF, NS, PKP, CSD, CD, ZSSK, HZ, SZ offered or offer similar sheets as your travel companion .
