Ilan Araújo or Ilan for short (born September 18, 1980 in Curitiba , Brazil as Ilan Araújo Dall'Igna ) is a former Brazilian football player with an Italian passport.

Ilan started his professional career in January 1999 in Brazil at Athletico Paranaense . A year later, in January 2000, Ilan moved to São Paulo FC , one of the largest clubs in Brazil. But it didn't last long here, in January 2001 he moved back to Athletico Paranaense. He played here for over three years before moving to FC Sochaux in France in the summer of 2004 . Here he became a star and fan favorite, scoring 23 goals in two years. In the summer of 2006 he moved to AS Saint-Étienne .

After four years at AS Saint-Étienne , in which he completed 107 games and 26 goals, he moved on February 1, 2010 to the English club West Ham United .

Ilan was unable to assert himself in London and was released after a few months. Despite numerous interested parties in Europe, the striker moved from home to SC Internacional . After four games, he was also fired from this club. He started the 2012/2013 season with the new French first division club SC Bastia .

For his home country Brazil , he was on the pitch at the 2003 Copa America .
