Maria Ilda da Costa Figueiredo (born October 30, 1948 in Troviscal ) is a Portuguese communist party politician .

After studying economics at a university and completing a postgraduate course in educational planning and administration, Figueiredo worked as an economist at the Textile Union and the Union Confederation in Porto, and as a teacher. At the Communist Party she was a member of the Central Committee. She was a member of the city councils of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto, as well as the city council of Gaia and the Grande Porto region . From 1979 to 1991 she was sitting in the Assembly of the Republic from 1999 to 2012 at the European Parliament .
