Ilias Tsirimokos ( Greek : Ηλίας Τσιριμώκος) (* 1907 in Lamia ; † July 14, 1968 in Athens ) was a Greek politician and former prime minister.

Tsirimokos began his political career in 1936 when he was elected a member of the National Assembly (Voulí ton Ellínon) . After the occupation by the German Wehrmacht , he led his Greek People's Democratic Party into the National Liberation Front (EAM) , which was under the influence of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) . On March 12, 1945, as General Secretary of the ELD , he took part in the signing of the Varkiza Convention , which united the various political currents of the Greek resistance. After the Second World War he became a member of the Center Union (EK) of Georgios Papandreou .

After the victory of the Center Union in the National Assembly elections in 1963, he became President of the National Assembly. After differences of opinion between Prime Minister Papandreou and King Constantine II , there was a government crisis. After Tsirimokos and several other MPs refused to support Papandreou, he had to resign as Prime Minister on July 15, 1965. After the failure of his successor Giorgos Athanasiadis-Novas , he was Prime Minister from August 20 to September 17, 1965. However, even he was unable to bring together the various currents of renegade members of the EC and the National Radical Union. Between 1965 and 1966 he was also foreign minister.
